Born on the 4th of July 1966, in Brentwood, New York, I started playing guitar at age 14.
With some friends, I played parties and talent shows throughout high school with our band Sabotage.
Had some local success on Long Island playing bars with the band Satyr. I had more success playing New York City and East Coast touring with bands Tabitha and Mr. Nasty. After a few years off I got back into playing the local scene with cover bands like Squeaky Sneakers, Bandit,
The Dedicated Bozos and No Clue.

In 2004, I had songs that I had to get out of my head and onto a recording. I collaborated with Rich Belkin of Breeze Bayou studios to record the debut CD "The Doug Gordon Band."  He and I were able to bring my visions to life and this opened up a new chapter for me.

I formed The Doug Gordon Band (DGB) in 2005 to be able to perform the songs live and recruit the right musicians to take not only my ideas but create a full band collaboration to write new music.

In 2006 & 2007 I took vocal lessons from instructor and owner of Music Simply Music,
 Diane Marketta.

DGB spent a good part of three years writing and recording the newest CD "SPIN" in various studios on Long Island with engineer Bob Stander. The release date is June of 2009.

Throughout the years I've stayed pretty loyal to my Gibsons.
 My collection is as follows:
Gibson Les Paul Custom
Gibson ES-335
Gibson Flying V
Gibson Hummingbird
Gibson J-160E
Gibson Thunderbird Bass
Fender Stratocaster (OOPS! I strayed!)
Tatay Nylon String Classical
Always willing to add more (wouldn't that be nice) LOL!

  I use Marshall amps exclusively.
