Born October 30, 1969 in Port Jefferson, NY, my love for music began at a very early age. Instruments from the organ to the violin and trombone were some of my earliest experiences with playing music.
It wasn't until I was about 18 years old when the drums became a part of my life.
I loved everything about the drums and percussion and began to play more and more often with increased ability. Now, my life would not be complete without my drums and congas. It is a great outlet after a long day and more importantly,
a way to express myself through music.
The music I love to play most would be the blues, jazz and funk. I feel that they are the foundation of much of the music we hear today.
Playing with The Doug Gordon Band is an awesome opportunity for me to see where my playing can take me and playing with the guys forces me to play to a level that I didn't know that I was capable of.
My influences for drumming include masters like Billy Cobbham, Neil Peart, Simon Phillips, Steve Smith, Terry Bozio, Dave Weckyl, John Bonham, Keith Ciaramello, Mark Quinones......the list goes on and on.
I am thrilled to be a part of The Doug Gordon Band and look forward to playing 'til my fingers bleed.
My gear consists of the following:
DW Drums
Gibraltar Drum Rack and Double Pedals
Sabian Cymbals
Latin Percussion Congas
Dave Weckyl Signature Drumsticks
*Much more to come!!!*
